	When the top inch of soil seems dry to the touch, especially during dry spells, give it a thorough watering. Ensure proper drainage in the planting area or pot.
	Boxwoods prefer well-draining soil rich in organic matter. A loamy soil with good drainage is ideal. Ensure the pH is slightly acidic to neutral (pH 6.5-7.5)
	Boxwoods prefer partial shade to full sun. They can tolerate some shade, especially in hotter climates, but generally perform best with at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
	For the purpose of controlling soil temperature and moisture retention, spread an organic mulch layer around the base of the plant. Additionally, weeds that compete with Boxwoods for nutrients and water are suppressed by mulch.
